While we are spending more time at home we want to encourage your creative expression with these custom kits designed by artist and muralist, Jonathan Martinez.

Jonathan Martinez, known as Art of the Endangered, is a contemporary wildlife artist based in Orange County, California. He paints and draws animals with graphic elements, using juxtapositions of fine and street art genres in his work. He enjoys creating mixed media drawings, acrylic paintings, and and large scale mural installations with spray paint. His work is inspired by learning about the state of endangered species on earth and how humans have harmed many species and their habitats to the point of extinction. He wants to bring awareness to these animals as much as he can with art. Creating art featuring endangered animals has been his passion for over 9 years.

Jonathan's favorite General Pencil products are the Layout® Pencil, the Magic Black™ Eraser, Charcoal White® Pencil, and the Primo® Euro Blend Pencils. The Charcoal White® Pencil and Magic Black™ eraser are included in both collaboration boxes!

Curated Box #1 - GPxAOE1

For this first set I went with the #25 Pencil Kit as it’s a great graphite set for beginners or if you been creating for a while, with an excellent selection from soft to hard pencils. The Layout® pencil is one of my favorites for sketching out ideas and starting my murals. The Pastel Pencils are vibrant in color & a way to add color to your drawing. The Magic Black™ Eraser is wonderful for adding or erasing away details.

 Curated Box #2 - GPxAOE2

For the second box set, I curated an assortment of drawing pencils, watercolor pencils and charcoal pencils that I use on a daily basis for my mixed media drawings. Whether it’s for sketching, layout composition, or final rendering of a drawing, I use all of these pencils. You’ll see that combining different pencils together can give you incredible results in your final project.  I included Primo® Pencils which are great for dark values, and the Magic Black™ eraser is wonderful for adding or erasing away details.
